The Tennis Courts
The Castine Tennis Club features four Har-tru clay tennis courts, and is open to the public from mid-June to Labor Day. Members can take lessons and/or clinics with USPTA Pro Adrians Zguns. The courts are on the CGC grounds and enjoy the same relaxed atmosphere and easy-going attitude as the golf course. The courts maintain a well deserved reputation for always being in top condition.
Non-members are invited to enjoy the club facilities, clinics and lessons. Clinics are available for all ages and skill levels. Small group instruction can be arranged as well as semi-private lessons.
Castine is proud of its strong Junior program and this year offered a "Davis Cup" clinic for youngsters desiring a more intense level of competition.
The Club Member's Championship is played the last weekend in July and always
features exciting matches to watch. The special Tennis Theme Dinner at the Clubhouse
will be held the Sunday of the Club Finals, July 27, 2008. The Pro usually arrives
in mid June and early sign up is available for members. Our mission is to provide
a hospitable environment where people of all ages can learn, improve their skills,
or play a game with friends and family.

Youth Programs
Junior tennis clinics and lessons are held throughout the season. The youth program is a continuing point of pride throughout the club. Introducing a "Davis Cup" Clinic for the more serious young tennis players who have long term goals in Tennis.
Separate clinics are held by age group, with the 5-7 year-olds at 9:15 to 10am, the 8-10's at 12:15pm and the 11-15 year-olds from 8-9am. Reduced rates are offered for all Junior members. A Junior Club Championship tournament is held late July or early August. Call the Pro Shop at 207-326-8844 for the date of this year's event.

The Club's USPTA Pro, Adrians Zguns, is versed in providing tennis coaching at every level for juniors and adults, and offers clinics that can effectively raise player's skill levels.

Tennis Programs
The special programs offered at the club each week during the summer season are open to club members and non-members if space allows. The Pro maintains a player's sheet for those in town wanting to play and needing a partner. Social tennis events are planned for members and non-members during the season. The Tennis Member's Tournament is for club members and is played the final weekend in July.
Tennis Pro Shop
The Castine tennis pro shop is located opposite court #2, where racket restringing and equipment rental is available. The shop also offers frames, USPTA approved tennis balls, club logo tennis hats, tee shirts, and refreshments.
